America Reads Student Enrollment

What is America Reads?

  • Students attend 30 minute read-aloud sessions with a tutor.

  • Students earn prizes.

  • Student registration begins: May 4, 2026. Registration deadline: May 16, 2026.

  • Program dates: June 1-July 23, 2026.

  • Literacy celebrations: July 27-July 30, 2026.

Keep your child reading this summer with the America Reads literacy program at the Weber County Library. This FREE 8-week tutoring program is designed to assist students in the Weber County area who have acquired basic reading skills, but need additional practice to improve fluency and reading comprehension.

 

Beginning June 1, your child will be paired with a trained tutor for a weekly 30-minute reading session. Children will earn rewards for their participation in the program.

 

Space is limited and registration is required. Please submit by Saturday, May 16.

Main Library: Tuesday, July 28, 6:30 p.m.

North Branch: Monday, July 27, 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Ogden Valley Branch: Thursday, July 30, 10:30 a.m.

Pleasant Valley Branch: Wednesday, July 29, 10:30 a.m.

Southwest Branch: Tuesday, July 28, 10:30 a.m.
