COMPUTER CABLE

ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY
Each of the Weber County Library locations have technologically enhanced PCs and video magnification systems, including computerized text to speech software, and magnification utilities.
 
CHILDREN'S COMPUTER CENTERS
All Weber County Library locations have free Children's Computer Centers.  PCs at each children's center are loaded with educational entertainment software, otherwise known as edutainment software.
 
INTERNET ACCESS
The Weber County Library provides free, high speed, public Internet access at all of its locations.  A library card is not required to use the Internet.  Thirty minute sessions are available for general usage, with 60 minute sessions available for information and research oriented uses.  The Library receives its Internet access through a metropolitan optical ethernet network connected to the Utah Education Network.
 
LCD DATA PROJECTION
Each of the Weber County Library locations offer either portable or permanently mounted LCD data projectors in the meeting spaces of the branch.
 
PUBLIC COMPUTER CENTERS
The Library has installed public computer centers in each of its locations.  Anyone may use the computers free of charge to access the Internet or to utilize state-of-the art software programs.  PC's are equipped with CD-RW drives, multi-format card readers, and front panel USB ports.  All of the PCs are loaded with multiple web browsers and office productivity suites. 
 
PUBLIC COMPUTER LAB
The Main Library offers an 11 computer training lab that features overhead LCD projection with VHS/DVD support.  This lab is free and available for community, group, and public use.
 
WIFI
Each of the Weber County Library locations offer free Internet access via a wireless network that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
