The Ava J. Cooper Special Collections Room at the Weber County Library preserves materials unique to Ogden, Weber County, the state of Utah, and Western America. Special emphasis materials include a history of the railroads and the role played by minorities and women in the settling of the West.
The Special Collections Room houses books, pamphlets, vertical files, maps, audio cassettes, slides, dissertations, periodicals, newspapers, yearbooks, directories, archival materials, and a series of catalogs and indexes. All materials are non-circulating. Photocopies will be made of items in the collection at cost. Researchers may use the materials in the Library under the guidance of Adult Services Librarians.
