University of California at Berkeley’s Library created a guide to navigate the internet, from determining the accuracy of webpages, to recommending search strategies; this tutorial is a great beginner’s tool. This resource also includes information on how to cite internet and electronic resources. 

Internet Misinformation Fact Checker: Snopes

Snopes.com is an excellent source for checking the accuracy of urban legends, folklore, myths, rumors and misinformation.  Looking to determine the accuracy of an email forward or a rumor on Facebook? Snopes.com will help you sort out the truth, with detailed descriptions of the item’s origin and status whenever the item is true, false or undetermined.
