In conjunction with the 2016-2017 Weber Reads community reading program, Literature of the Japanese-American Internment, the Southwest Branch of the Weber County Library is pleased to announce a special ten-week showing of the Smithsonian Institution exhibition, “I Want the Wide American Earth: An Asian Pacific American Story.”  The exhibit will be on display Saturday, March 18 through Thursday, May 25 during the Library’s regular hours of operation, Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, please call Phoebe Carter at 801-337-2670.

“I Want the Wide American Earth” was created by the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES). The exhibition is supported by a grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
