The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh
The language of flowers has long been used to convey expression: honeysuckle for devotion, daisies for innocence, and roses for love. But for Victoria Jones, it’s been an avenue of communication. After a childhood spent in California’s foster-care system, Victoria is unable to get close to anybody. Her only connection to the world is through flowers and their meanings. Alone, eighteen, and emancipated with nowhere to go, Victoria struggles to gain employment at a florist shop where realizes her gift for helping others through the flowers she chooses for them.
